Random Walks and Chance Encounters, 2015

The MMAA Project Space hosted Random Walks and Chance Encounters, a month-long collaborative artist residency with Boston-based artist Yu-Wen Wu and Minneapolis-based artist Harriet Bart. The two artists worked together in the gallery-turned-artist-studio to create an evolving site-specific multimedia installation around the theme “random walks and chance encounters,” which makes reference to both artists’ practice of opening up their art to serendipity. The public was invited to stop in and talk with the artists about their process and see the installation in progress. This is the first major collaboration of Wu and Bart.
